Azerbaijan Technological University, established on the initiative of our national leader Heydar Aliyev, today plays an important role in training highly qualified specialists for important sectors of the economy in our republic.
Azerbaijan University of Technology has set as a priority the mission to train progressive morally and physically healthy personnel, which will give impetus to the development of technologies in all strategic areas of the country, to train specialists who will allow enterprises to provide high-quality products to their customers and provide them with high-quality services. At present, graduates of the university honor the University with their professionalism and active citizenship positions in the Republic of Azerbaijan and beyond.
Today, a modern material and technical base has been created at the University, a teaching staff has been formed that conducts effective pedagogical and scientific work. Among them are teachers with honorary titles such as honored scientist, honored teacher, honored engineer, honored inventor and Honored Artist. Scientific – research laboratories operating at the University play an important role in increasing the efficiency of the educational process and research work.
At present, the integration of AMU into the international educational space is also developing rapidly. Thus, memorandum of cooperation has already been signed with Turkey, Georgia, Russia and a number of universities in Eastern Europe. These memoranda include exchange of students and teaching staff, conducting joint scientific-research programs between universities, implementation of joint projects, etc. implies. At present, AMU has launched a Customer Orientation Program with the support of the Ministry of Education. The purpose of the program is to develop students, research works, inventions and services that are the products of the University in accordance with the requirements of production and industrial enterprises. In accordance with the profile of the University, beneficial cooperation relations have been established with enterprises operating in the region and the country in 6 industrial directions.
The periodical “scientific news collection” of Azerbaijan University of Technology was approved by the Order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1096 dated 30.11.2000 and the first issue was published in 2004. However, certain difficulties arose in the publication of the collection, and its activity partially stopped.
